The 2020 Paramount Heritage Parade was meant to be a celebration by the city of Paramount, CA to celebrate their history, heritage and community. My challenge was to come up with a logo and poster that represented the history and people that brought it to where it is today.
To create the logo, I looked at past parades and past city of events from the 1950s to today. From there I had ample inspiration from vintage advertisements, business signs, yearbook pages as well as images from parties and more. I then used the image of the iconic hay tree, colors from the old and new photographs and typefaces directly from Paramount's history.
